The 'Comfort Women' Issue
A transcript of a press conference dealing withQ: The Kono statement was, of course, a statement issued on behalf of the cabinet and it is on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ website; I wondered if I could ask you about its content in a bit more detail, because I believe there certainly has been confusion in the past few days. Just to ask the most basic question: there were—in the view of Foreign Minister Aso and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs—there were comfort stations in military facilities during World War II?
